How are we different from other tennis camps?
We offer a high-energy, purposeful training agenda that is comprehensive for competition, delivered in a fun, positive, learning environment.
What is the Schedule during tennis camp?
The Rome-A-Way Tennis Camps run Tuesday thru Thursday. A sample schedule is below:
- 3-5 PM – Check-in at our host hotel
- 5-7 PM – On-Court program
- 7:45 -9:30 PM – Dinner Downtown Rome
- 8-9 AM – Breakfast at host hotel
- 9-12 AM – On-Court program at Rome Tennis Center at Berry College
- 12-1:30 PM – Catered Lunch & Rest
- 1:30-5:30 PM – On-Court program & Video Analysis
- 7:00-8:30 PM – Dinner on Your Own
- 8-9 AM – Breakfast at host hotel
- 9-12 PM – On-Court program
- 12-2 PM – Lunch on Your Own & Rest
- 2-4 PM – Supervised Coaching Match Play (Optional)

Meals & Lodging
Participants will spend two nights at the Hampton Inn & Suites adjacent to Downtown Rome. Rates are based upon double occupancy. Private rooms are available and may include an additional charge. All rooms are non-smoking unless requested.
Breakfast on days #2 & #3 are included on-site at the hotel. Lunch is included on day #2. Group dinner will be on day #1 at select Downtown Rome Restaurant, is part of the program, and includes strategy/tactic session & chalk talk!

Rome Tennis Center at Berry College is the largest single surface facility in the country with 60 lighted courts. This state of the art facility was host for (5) USTA National Tournaments, (5) USTA Southern Tournaments, and (3) Intercollegiate Tennis Association Tournaments in 2017, including the ACC Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships.
Tom Daglis, is the Executive Director of RTCBC and the Director of the Professional Tennis Management program at Berry College. Tom is a certified USPTA Master Professional. He is the former National President of the USPTA and has been honored by the USPTA as United States Professional of the Year, Southern Professional of the Year, and Mid-Atlantic Professional of the Year. Tom is a member of the USPTA Southern Hall of Fame and in 2016 he received the highest educational recognition awarded by the International Tennis Hall of Fame with the ITHOF Educational Merit Award.
Taylor Buchholz, is the Head Tennis Professional/Academy Director at RTCBC. Taylor is a certified USPTA Elite Professional and is a graduate of the Methodist University Professional Tennis Management program. Taylor was the #1 player and captain of the MU Men’s Tennis Team and worked his tennis internships at outstanding tennis clubs such as Westchester Country Club, CT and Sea Colony Resort, DE. He currently serves as the USTA Northwest Junior Team Tennis Coordinator and a member of the new Net Generation team.
