The Downtown Rome Tennis Center features 22 dedicated pickleball courts. Groups gather to play in the mornings and there are many social gatherings throughout each month as well.

Pickleball is a game for all ages and abilities. Designed to be easy to learn and easy to play, pickleball is played on a badminton-sized court with wood paddles and a ball similar to wiffle ball, but slightly smaller.

Unlike tennis, where the game is often won and lost by the power of the serve, pickleball requires the ball to bounce once on each side before volleys are allowed. The simplicity of the game makes it appealing to a large audience and is one of the fastest-growing sports in America!

DROP IN (ALL LEVELS)

MONDAY-FRIDAY 9:00-11:00AM

Everyone is welcome to join our regular players who play drop in most weekdays from 9am-11am. No partner needed!

DRIll + ORGANIZED PLAY CLINIC (2.5-3.0)

Tuesday 9:00-10:30AM

Perfect for intermediate players who are looking to tweak their existing skills and elevate their game, Drill + Organized Play includes drills during the first half of class, followed by open play so you can put your learnings into practice.

COST: $13 MEMBERS | $18 NON-MEMBERS

ADVANCED BEGINNER/INTERMEDIATE DRILLS

TUESDAY 6:00-7:30PM

This 90-minute drills clinic will focus on developing all of the main shots and game strategy with some organized play.

PICKLEBALL 101 – REGISTER ONLINE

WEDNESDAYS 6:00-7:00pm

Designed for beginner adults, Pickleball 101 is a 4-week class that will provide you with the basic skills and knowledge to move forward with confidence in this rapidly growing sport! This is a great opportunity for those who have never played pickleball before and are looking for a clear path to begin their journey.

PICKLEBALL 201

THURSDAYS 6:00-7:00pm

Take the next step in your journey with Pickleball 201! Designed for recent 101 graduates or players looking to brush up on the fundamentals, Pickleball 201 further develops your dink, volley, serve, strategy and point play.

SESSION PRICING: $40 MEMBERS | $50 NON-MEMBERS

DROP-IN PRICING: $10 MEMBERS | $15 NON-MEMBERS

OPEN PLAY*

Open play is an informal night where some of our regular players help make beginners welcome and grow their skills by playing pickleball with other locals.
